Post 9 : Changes to my study program

Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a wonderful morning/evening/night. Today I’m going to mumble nonsenses about Study programme. Let’s start with the English course; I think that our English program is pretty basic, even if it teaches the essentials to hold a conversation there should be more levels to learn more about writing, reading and pronunciation and more room for the students to take the English course, also, I think that this course should be obligatory, at least the basic things about grammar and also taught about technic terms of the respective career, this way would be easier to make a postgraduate course abroad. Now, about the programme in Engineering in natural resources; I like it very much, I really like the career, there are a lot of things to learn, and our teachers are very wise and good at teaching and I liked the few field trips that I have had, the only subject that I don’t like is zoology, even if I really like studying it, I annoys me because of the teach

Post 8 : Personal Opinions

Hello everyone, today I'm going to give my opinion about article 13. What's article 13? You may be asking. The European parlament voted in favour of this article   to update the copyright laws, to make sure that copyrighted materially isn’t being illegaly shared on online platforms, such as Twitter, Youtube, Tublr, etc.  I honestly think this is utterly ridiculous, the article 13 and 11 snatch away the posibilities of content creators to being successful in this plataforms, since all the music, videos and even images are copyrighted by big companies, it will be illegal even to share memes in social media. Only the owners of this content(companies) will be able to upload and share in the internet. I think it's important to know about this articles, even if this change will only afect the European Union, there's always the posibility that this spreading to other countries.

Post 7 : Environmental Conflicts

The environmental problems in our country and the world aren’t something new, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the situation in Quintero happens again in the future. I got used to see the streets filled with garbage and dark clouds of pollution in the sky, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t care about it anymore; more than ever I’ve been worrying about the environmental situation of our planet. What happened in Quintero was a shame, the people complained about the situation and the authorities did nothing to fix it until it was too late, only when the notice about the sick people and dying animals spread over the nation they lowered themselves to do what they are meant to do: protect people and the environment. Water problems are one of the most worrying conflicts in Chile, not only in Santiago but in cities at the south of the country. Most of the people don’t pay real attention to it, we don’t think about the shortage of water because we think we have plenty of it; there are zones i

Post 6: Post graduate studies

Hello again bloggers! Today I’m going to talk about post graduate studies I’ve never been a person of high expectations; I didn’t even thought about entering to study in the first try, but as the song of Panic! At the disco says “ Had to have high, high hopes for a living ”.    I didn’t think much about doing a post graduate study, only had a few thoughts around it, so I’m not very informed about it, I think I still have a long road to do and I’m trying to stay focus in the present, since I’m only a first year student of engineering in natural resources and even today I’m insecure about the future.   Even if I’m not completely sure what subject I’d thought about a post graduate study one day, it would open new work opportunities. Maybe do a part time course abroad, more likely in New Zealand, but if I can’t it would be okay doing the course in Chile or another country.  I’d try to find a job before taking the course, so I save enough money to study without problems (or at l
Post 5 : My future job Hello again, welcome to a new blog. This chance I’ll talk about the kind of job I would like to have. Since I was very little, I wanted to work with my dad and uncle, in the Ministry of Environment and now as a student of Engineering in Natural Resources, I see myself working on it in the future I always had a passion for life forms, nature and protecting the environment, so I decided to study something where I could learn and help as much as the environment and people. When choosing a job, I wouldn’t stand for private company that wants to take advantage of natural resources and destroy the environment. I think I’d try to find a job in the Ministry and do my best to protect our resources and people. If I were asked in a job interview about my strengths and weaknesses I don’t really think I could tell everything about me, since I got low self-esteem I would just mess everything up,   I’d try to be as sincere as possible but avoiding th

Post 4: Videogames

Hello again, I’m Trinindad and I’m going to talk about videogames I personally have a special attachment to this topic, since I started playing videogames since I was five. Through all this years I experienced different genres, stories and the feelings they brought to my life. It may sound silly, but they helped me in hard times, they were a new world to discover, that was my escape from the real world. A lot of people told me that I’m very childish because I liked videogames, that they make people violent and are a waste of time. But I think that playing a videogame it’s like reading a book or watching a movie, but you have the control to make your own story, even if the ending is always the same (which doesn’t happen in all videogames), YOU, the player, is the one experiencing all, you empathize with the characters and take decision, things that one doesn’t appreciate in films or books, where you just watch how the characters develop by themselves. Of course, not all the video

Post 3 : Movies

Image
Hello again! This time I’m going to talk about my favorite type of films. Usually I'm very open to the topics of books, movies or series and I don't have a favorite of any of them, but I do have a preference when I look for something to watch. Most of the time I go to Sci-fi or Fantasy, I admire how the author is capable to create a whole new world, with its own rules, it's like seeing a totally new shape of expression, seeing how the characters develop in this scenario and learning the laws of this newfound world is something I really enjoy. One of the movies that I enjoyed the most is one called " Kimi no Na wa " ( "Your name"  in English); it’s a Japanese film of fantasy and romance, even if I'm not a real fan of romance, because its full of emotion, and the plot twist really gets you when you least expect. It’s a really cute film, with amazing animation and astonishing art and music.
